Design
Our artwork department will work with you or your design staff to quickly integrate your logo artwork, providing a vivid representation of the capsule art as a 3-dimensional image. Once the capsule artwork is approved the digitized artwork is electronically forwarded to our cylinder engraver. The digital artwork is uploaded to high speed engraving machines creating the high resolution engraved cylinders used for printing your designs.
Color Matching
The key to any custom color is consistency. Our color technicians will provide color draw downs using our advanced color draw down machines (a method for testing the print color of the rotogravure process; customers will see printing ink on the capsule material to verify color for approval). These machines are calibrated to mimic the colors produced on our rotogravure presses. Once colors are approved, our state-of-the-art ink dispensing system will ensure color consistency by repeatability formulating, dispensing ink formulas to within 0.5 gram. Real-time color monitoring ensures our colors run true.
Rotogravure Printing (or gravure printing)
When marketing calls for rich, elegant, colors with depth, they demand rotogravure printed materials which provide superior graphic reproduction over other printing processes such as flexographic. Our state-of-the-art 8-color American-made rotogravure press is the industry standard for narrow web, short run presses. Our capabilities include real-time color verification, defect detection, and continuous viscosity control. We can deliver any color you can imagine.
